For those recertifying for with Leafwell for the first time I note that recertification online can most often be accomplished the same day. So, one can feel pretty safe recertifying the day the prior certification expires. Not a guarantee but much more likely than not if my experience is typical.

State-Specific Steps

Book an Appointment With Leafwell
Speak to a Leafwell healthcare provider to get approved for a Georgia medical card.
During your appointment, the healthcare provider will ask questions based on your medical history to determine if a medical card is a good option for you.
The consultation costs $99. You’ll get your money back if you’re not approved.

Get Approved
If approved, you and the provider must sign a waiver. You must sign the waiver in the presence of a notary and email it back to Leafwell (you may use an online notary service).
Your provider will then send your information to the state.

Connect With the State of Georgia
The state will process your application within seven to 10 business days and contact you if additional documentation is required.

Pick Up Your Medical Card
You’ll receive a call within 2-3 weeks when your card is ready to be picked up.
You must then arrange a time to pick up your card at one of the state of Georgia’s 18 public health offices and pay the $25 state fee.
Georgia medical cards are valid for two years.
